A national trust to funnel federal funds into programs to help schools, libraries, and museums tap into emerging digital technologies will be introduced Monday after nearly a decade in the making, according to reports in Philanthropy Today and The New York Times.
The National Center for Research in Advanced Information and Digital Technologies is intended to serve as a a “venture capital fund” to research learning technology in a variety of institutional settings. Grant money could start flowing as early as this fall.
